US Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) recently announced another measure execution . Specifically, OCR has opened a compliance review of Concentra Health Services (Concentra) upon receiving a report that an unencrypted laptop was stolen in Missouri Physical Therapy Center of Springfield. The survey found that Concentra had already recognized in multiple risk analyzes the critical risks exist. While steps have been taken to address risks, OCR found efforts to be incomplete and inconsistent. The investigation by OCR also concluded security management processes are inadequate to protect patient information.
